What’s up, G? Gap Adventures changes its name
|
What’s in a name? Well, more than 20 years ago, a Canadian adventure travel company launched as GAP Adventures.
Fast-forward to today, and they’ve stripped things down. Recently the company announced they’d be known from now on as, simply, G Adventures.

Giraffes are just some of the animals travelers can see on the Kenya Wildlife Adventure through G Adventures.
“Over 20 years ago, we set out on a journey to transform the way people think about travel. We discovered a niche — a gap, if you will — between mainstream travel operators and independent backpackers,” says Bruce Poon Tip, G Adventures’ founder, in a press release.
Poon says the decision to change names is reflective of the future evolution of the company, though he stresses that its mission of bringing life-changing experiences to those hungry for an adventure remains the same.
