Must love dogs? Magazine names top dog-friendly cities in the U.S.

If potatoes come to mind when we say Idaho, well there’s another claim to fame chomping at the bit. Seems it’s also a great place to pack up your pooch for a visit. Coeur d’Alene, Idaho has been named “DogTown USA” by Dog Fancy Magazine.

While Coeur d’Alene was rated top dog by the mag, it also named four regional winners —  Bend, Oregon; Doylestown, Pennsylvania.; Knoxville Tennessee; and Santa Cruz, California.

“What we discovered is that whether a dog likes a place to run and hike, loves to mingle downtown or needs a new home, dogs and their owners have it made in Coeur d’Alene, a little slice of dog heaven,” said Dog Fancy editor Ernie Slone.
